How long do I have access to my course?
All of our courses come with lifetime access!
All of our courses (full and mini) come with lifetime access which means that even after you’ve watched through once or the course has ended, you will always be able to go back and refresh your skills!
What is mentorship and why is it important for learning design?
We honestly don’t think you can break through some barriers in design without a very strong mentor who can guide you through the process.
All of our full courses come with personalized project feedback and mentorship to help you go further in learning design and animation skills. Mentorship is all about the details and what takes a good design to GREAT, which is what can make the biggest difference in a project! We like to think of our students more as apprentices who get to learn beside the masters to really gain the most out of every course.
Our instructors are all veteran designers who can help students get unstuck, push their skills even further and ensure that you understand every step of the process.
What is taking a course like? How will I get feedback? How do I talk to instructors? See below!
Our flexible course format makes it possible to be engaged from anywhere in the world on your own schedule. All of our courses are taught completely online through pre-recorded lesson videos, online resources, and handouts.
Students typically receive homework assignments once per week, which have soft deadlines. All student work is critiqued by our highly trained Instructors and Teaching Assistants. Pro Church Media University’s instructors are professional church media designers with real-life experience in the industry. They will be there for you throughout the entire session to critique your work and give your personalized, private feedback. Our instructors are able to critique as many versions of your work as you would like to submit during the duration of the session; so you get the feedback you need to sharpen your skills.
During the course, you will be invited to a private Facebook group that contains all of the leaders and students in your session. This is a great tool for connecting, asking or answering questions, sharing thoughts or insights, and more! You will also be able to start discussions through your student portal if you would like to ask a private question to your instructor.
What kind of projects will I work on?
All of our homework projects are designed to be practical so that they can be used in the real-world right away!
We think it is highly important to focus on projects and skills that can be used to make an impact right away. We know our students time is limited and we don’t like to waste time on theoretical homework that no one would ever see or use. So, we take the time to come up with assignments that can be used on social media, for promotions and other on-demand purposes so students can use what they create!
I don't work for a church, can I still take a course?
Absolutely! All of our courses cover the practical skills needed to master design and animation for any kind of project.
Our courses focus on real-world projects that we think are important for learning design in any situation. While many of our homework projects focus on designs that can be used in a church, many of our students have chosen to use their own company/organization’s needs for completing their homework as it applies to their situation.
All of our instructors have experience in both the church media world as well as the corporate and agency worlds and can help with specific questions related to best practices when working in other fields.
